WRITING: A DIARY ENTRY

Preparation:

1. What is your situation at the moment? I'm very afraid because I'm in a seriously problem. I lied to help my friend: I said that he was in my house when the theft occurred. Unfortunately, a security video from the shop uncovered our lie.

2. Why did you lie? I lied to help my friend, because I didn't want that him have a serious problem.

3. Was your friend right or wrong? Alex acted badly stealing the CD, but he may not thing of the consequences.

4. What would you have done? I had to tell the truth from the beginning, but I was afraid.

5. Do you think that this might happen again? No, I think that this situation can not happen again. I think that my fiend has already reflected...

6. What would you do if you were in this situation again? If I were back in the same situation, I'm absolutely sure that I say the truth.

WRITING

I'm in a difficult situation at the moment. I lied to help my friend Alex who stole a CD. I said that he was in my house when the theft occurred. Unfortunately, a security video from the shop uncovered our lie.

I think that Alex acted badly stealing the CD, but he may not thing of the consequences. I also acted badly because I must to tell the truth from the beginning, but I was afraid.

I think that this situation can not happen again, because my friend has already reflected, but If I were back in the same situation, I'm absolutely sure that I say the truth.

A LETTER: EXPLAINING A PROBLEM

PREPARATION.

1.What's the situation? My best friend is going out with a guy, and he's really in love with her, but I know that she flirts with other boys. I don't know what I have to do
2.Are you worried or angry? Why? I'm very worried because If my friend's boyfriend discovers that she flirts with everyone he can react violently.
3.What is your ideal solution? My ideal solution is to talk to my friend and give my opinion about the situation.
4.What would be the consequences of that? If I talk with her and I give my opinion, we probably have a great argument.
5.Is there another solution? Yes, another solution is talk with my friend's boyfriend and explain him the situation.
6.Why do you need advice? I need advice because I don't know what I have to do: If I talk with the guy my fiend will be very angry, but If I don't do that, she will continue flirting with everybody.

Please I need advice, I don't know what I have to do: If I talk with the guy, my friend will definitely be very angry, but if I don't do that, she will continue flirting with everybody.

Is Internet better than books?
In my opinion, of course it is!
Before Internet was invented, people had to use another method to search information and to communicate with each other. Usually, they had to read some books to find information. Nowadays, people can enjoy Internet's advantages like sending emails, searching, information, downloading programs, films, music...
Moreover mosts books' disadvantage is that the publishing process wastes some paper and this is not good for the environment.
In conclusion, I think Internet is the best invention because it offers more possibilities than books and is a great new technology

Amaral was formed in Spain in 1997. The original members of the band were Eva Amaral (singer and songwriter) and Juan Aguirre (guitarist and composer). The band's components have been always together.

Amaral's first album was released by a private record company in 1987 but It wasn't very popular. Suddenly, they recorded one of the most popular Amaral's Album called "EStreslla del Mar"(2002). Another very famous musical album is "Gato Negro Dragón Rojo"(2008). It's very nice!
Amaral has sold over two million copies of their five albums to date (2010)

Amaral play both Folk miked with Latin rhythms and rock music. Some of their best-known songs are Mis amigos and Kamikaze. The band has won a lot of prizes for their music. In 2002 and 2008, they won a prize for Beast Spanish Band.

Dear Sir or Madam,
I'm writing to get information about lottery funds for a community project in my little town.
St.Miquel de Campmajor, is a small and beautiful town near to Banyolas.

There aren't many interesting places in and around the town, and there aren't many villagers too. The place is very quiet and clean but is a bit isolated. For that reason, I would install a network of buses to transport people to Banyolas.

This would be great for the village!

My name's Clara and I'm deaf since 2000. I lost the hearing when I was traveling with my family in a brutal car accident. It was a very hard thing to accept.

My life has changed a lot since I am deaf but now I already know the language of the deaf so my life is becoming easier.
I don't need much help because I have learned to adapt to my new situation, but on of the things that annoy me is that people feel sorry for me. I think that they don't understand that I'm a normal person...
People usually want to help me, but I don't need usually help!!

In conclusion, being deaf is not a disadvantage if you try to improve yourself. If you do that, you will become the happiest person in the world.

MY LIFE

I was born in Josep Trueta's hospital in Girona. I' ve always lived in the same house in St Miquel de Campmajor.

My earliest memory is not very clear. I only remember that I was in my house with my grandfather and I was playing with him and my sister. Then I was two years old!
I also remember very well my primary school. My first teacher was Angelina. She was very nice. I remember some friends and activities too.

Now, I'm studying in Casa Nostra's secondary school. I've got a lot of great friends, but I also have a lot of work! I've changed a lot since I was a child. Now, I'm more responsible, sociable and reliable. I also think that my appearence is changing a lot, I'm becoming taller.
When I'll finish secondary school, I'll attend IES Pere Alsius to forward my studies and the hopefully I'll go with some friends to the university of Barcelona to study. Before I'm old I really want to go tu the USA.

Where, when and why did this happen? This accident happened in the city's centre last week. The car was speeding.

What time exactly did the incident begin? At twelve o'clock , at noon.

What happened first ? The car's driver was driving very fast and he couldn't see a restricted area's traffic signal.

How did people react? What were they doing? In the car a family was travelling: two children and the parents. They couldn't do any thing because they became unconscious after the accident.

What happened later? The medical services arrived very fast and they could save all the family.

What happened at the end? The family was moved at the hospital to take cure of their injuries.

What did people said? They said that it was the most horrible experience of their lives.




THE GREAT ACCIDENT


This was the dramatic scene last weekend at the city's centre. There was a big accident with a car. Fortunately there weren't any victims.

This incident happened at twelve o'clock, at noon. The car was speeding and the driver couldn't saw the restricted area's traffic signal, so they crashed.

A family was travelling in the car: two children and their parents. They couldn't do any thing because they were unconscious.

After 10 minutes, the emergency services arrived
and they saved all the family.
Finally , they were moved at the hospital to take care of their injuries. After that they said that it was the most horrible experience of their lives.

This last summer was the best summer of my life. It was great to relax and do some funny activities. During these holidays I spent a lot time with my friends. We went to some different places like "Portaventura" and "l'Escala". I also travelled to Mallorca with my sister, Maria. We stayed there about two weeks. It was great too. At the end of the summer my friends and I rent a local where we stayed and enjoyed together.
In conclusion, my summer '09 was perfect.
